Best before poka

Although in this game i made a terrible endgame mistake, i`m not regretting it completely ... it was a long and very nice game.

It would have been not hard to see the shortage of liberties after W250 ... but sometimes in the endgame, especially if i`m leading, i totally stop thinking and play like there is nowhere any aji left and like all the moves of my opponent are just desperate attempts to turn the situation around ... i answer like filling in dame points before counting... this is stupid i should take the endgame much more serious... i was so terrible unaware at the moment white played move 250 that i played B253! ... not actually realizing that white is about to connect ... if i would have played a ko threat now at F1 ... the game would have been still favorable for black!
But anyway ... i think i played not very bad before i played the poka , and there were much interesting situations in this game (for example the question if B55 was a good move?), much more interesting than the endgame-poka... see yourself ... here is the game:

seems, you really like strange openings and tennuki! ^ ^

Yes, i like tengen as third move for black ... or other things that people might call "strange" :-) ... but this is not very strange ... ^^

Unknown said...

in fact, in this game maybe "strange" kakari @C6 (instead of D5) looks more interesting. how do you think?
W is happy to pinch you in this situation and with 2-space approach it will be more difficult for him

mv.55 ambitious! but as well as O16 there still too much space for comfortable life with blackjack and whores for W :)

i prefer to push alone w stone first (simple with my-favorite-M16 :) and then develop right side with Q10

he can't ignore that push, right? and no problems with unstable F15 group while w is weak in the center… so all he got is a lot of cache on the left and opportunity to create many weak groups in your inferior moyo :)))

i know, mad point of view… but why not? :))))

Yeah i agree ... the 2 space kakari whould have been interesting ... to attack single white stone at the top before playing something like N6 is interesting as well ... i don`t know ... there are so many possible variations ;-)
But always good to know that at least one person is actually looking at this games ;-)
I would like to play with you one day ...

I whish i could read russian, your blog looks very interesting... and i love this 3d-goban-thing ... where did you found that? Or did you program it yourself?

google-translate can help you

i use goswf flash-editor instead of eidogo and creators of goswf made this funny 3D goban too and i found it :) http://www.gludion.com/go
